I've always been inspired by music, life's lessons, learning, observing, writing, and rapping so I woke up one day and decided to combine them all. I want to give people something to read that would provide hope, laughter, positive thoughts, and provoke change in how we view one another. How many music lover's remember this smooth and subtle jam??? I know that even though I was young when it was introduced in 2002 I still loved the way she gracefully caused the listener to feel her hurt. Telling a story about being in love with a man who is basically stressing her as he is now absent. As she relives the good memories, slightly begging for him to come back, and crying her heart out she also had the ability to make smoking cigarettes at night sound appealing. LOL. Take a listen and let me know how you feel about it. I know that it is definitely a favorite of mine and always will be.

It seems as if no one remembers this track but me LOL. Lil' Kim featuring Lil' Shanice "Aunt Dot" ,from her album The Notorious K.I.M, is definitely a track that one should get in tune with. Lil Kim is at her best here as she tells a story about taking in her niece Shanice because her Aunt Dot is going to handle some business. Not only is Kim rapping as herself but also her Aunt Dot. You have few bars delivered from Lil' Shanice who brings that soft child's voice but also a little ahead of the game and just as tough as Kim. This is the for sure a classic. Take a listen and let me know what you think.
I was riding to work when this song came on and it immediately caught my attention. J.Cole seemed to capture every element of the injustice that was committed on the day that unarmed teen ,Mike Brown, was gunned down by a white police officer in Ferguson,MO. JCole inserted the interview from Mike's friend who happened to be walking with him when this tragedy happened and I immediately began to cry. The emotions that I felt were not foreign but I don't think I have ever experienced anger, sadness,disgust, and grief all at once. The feeling was beyond powerful but I had to pull myself together so that it would not lead to hatred for those that treat us like animals and are inhumane. I started praying as the song was playing and asking God to save us from these kind of people. When I first saw the pictures of his lifeless body laying in the street and a pool of blood trickling down that street from his injuries I felt as if I had lost a brother, son, nephew, and friend as well. Much respect to J.Cole as he gave the listener more than just a powerful heartfelt tribute but he provided LIFE for all those that have been killed unjustly by those that they appoint to protect and serve our communities.

If this doesn't make you bounce then you need to relax a little! LOL. This joint is definitely a banger as you have QUE "our favorite lil cousin with swag" finessing it with his flow. He delivered many clever and well equipped bars. Then in walks 2 Chainz like our "favorite dope uncle that lights a spliff in public when he knows its not legal" as he delivers that country bounce. I have probably listened to this FIRE several times. Even now, I am listening to it in the kitchen and slowly bouncing side to side.

A young 18 year old male from Missouri had his life taken by the police. Shot multiple times and was unarmed. Can they really get away with this??? Lord please help us.
*** Mike Brown *** ……. I am beyond sad and sorry that you had to die in such a heinous way. I am sorry that you did not get to make it to your first day of college today. I am sorry that your parents will never see you smile or laugh again. I am sorry that life was taken from you as if you did not mean anything to this world but you do. I am sorry that as you were pleading for life the shooter did not bother to hear you as his demons had already won. I am sorry that he is now on administrative duty with pay and is not behind bars. Bless your soul and prayers for your family. There is nothing but death and grievance all around us as there is no peace because those they appoint to protect and serve are merely cowards in a uniform with a badge. Lord please help us as they are killing us off and more so we are killing our own people which allows them to think that our lives are not valued. Lets love one another and come together. We all lose people that we love and care about in life. It is beyond our control and one day those that love and care about us will lose us as well. The important part is to celebrate the life that they did live and always keep them with us. There will be very hard times, sad days, you will cry for no reason, they will appear in your dreams, you will recall good memories and times that you had with them but you must LIVE ON. Thanks to my coworker this song and the instrumental are now stuck in my head. He played both over and over yesterday especially the instrumental to motivate me to write to it LOL. As much as I love me some Jeezy I will say that Jay Z killed this verse completely and Jeezy's dope boy steeze finessed it oh so well.

I've always had this dream that someone was chasing me and fortunately they never get me but it feels so real. As I've grown into an adult the dream now only gets more real. More violent. More scary. I just woke out my dream frightened and in tears. Right before the snow fell and the three gun men crying showed up my dad was there. A child was there. A lady was there. And she drew a smiley face with freckles. I tell you my dream now because for those that think leaving Chicago helps.... it does temporarily. Until it's time to dream again. No love in these streets, nor respect for self or others either... They figure they can just take any one's life because they didn't give it to them. Rest in Heaven Boo G. Young man gone to soon. Rest in Heaven to Jabari Davis and other lives that have been taken by the demons of life. We must never forget. Jesus please save Chicago and other cities/countr... too many are leaving way too early and I know you are in control ultimately but no one is stopping these evil beings from taking others.
