Yeezus Tour Review : Kanye the G.O.A.T

"I don't want ..... I don't want none of these muthafu%@$ dream killas tryna kill ya'll dreams. I don't want none of these nigg@$ tryna tell yall how to be.... how to be" - Kanye West

Kanye has adopted me as his little sister from Chicago, but he unfortunately has not consented yet. LOL. I ,on the other hand, am already convinced that he and I are siblings. On 11/19/13 I witnessed greatness at the Barclays Center via Kanye and Kendrick. The Yeezus Tour was everything I dreamt of and more as Kanye dropped knowledge while performing and Kendrick blessed the stage oh so well. I sipped my Dusse, danced around without a care, and left feeling brand new. Having the ability to see, first hand, the creative genius behind the jewel encrusted Maison Martin and Margiela masks inspired me greatly. He performed each hit effortlessly and kept the crowd far beyond entertained. It was as if it were only us two in the room surrounded by 808’s, red lighting, and auto tune at times. I engulfed myself in his show completely and admired the way he strutted confidently back and forth on the stage. I studied the way he moved with such poise and masculinity while delivering his passions. It was as if Ye had me in a “Yeezus Trance”. He stated that he did not want any of the dream killers trying to kill our dreams and for this I left APPRECIATING artistry even more than I had before I arrived. I admire Kanye’s knowledge of self.

In My Feelings : As Usual

*** The Journey ***
I asked myself today how would I feel if I were no longer here? Honestly, I don't really know as I am on the fence with not giving a fuk if I were alive or not. My sanity is supported by my love for the LORD and the anticipation to see where I actually end up in this space called LIFE. The road to the light is so dark and the adversities so unbearable that the end must be equivalent to HEAVEN. The person that emerges from the storm is always the VICTOR. I shall win this battle and I'm eager to show my opposition how I conquer and rule. #Blessed #BadMilli #QueenShyt #TheUnveiling

Sigourney The Style God

Young Innovators

What the Lik Read: Issue 7

After meeting Sigourney and hearing her story I was convinced that this was a meeting of the greats for sure. She spoke with such grace and conviction as she led me onto the paths that marked her journey. We spoke about her styling techniques, her passions, and what keeps her motivated. One thing she said to me that I will never forget and caused me to now admire her even more concerned having faith in yourself. Our dreams and visions differ from others but we know in our hearts the passions that should manifest so we have to persevere. Remaining grounded and humble as we climb to the top was also another key topic of our conversation. I wanted to give others the opportunity to get to know the vision behind her styling of Puma, Sassy, and O Shit of VH1‘s hit show Black Ink , but also the journey of Sigourney the Style God. Another victor of our time!

Sigourney Salley: Style GDX

Millie: Who is Sigourney and what is her passion?

Sigourney Salley:

Sigourney Salley (also known as Style GXD) is a Visionary, Journalist, Brand Consultant And Head Wardrobe Stylist For VH1 Black Ink Crew (Sassy, Puma & O Sh*t).

My passion has been the same since I was 15 years old and that is to balance myself with business and creative direction, while also remembering to give back. Ultimately, I would like to create a nonprofit program with seminars that would introduce established MUA, Groomers, Hair Stylists, Designers and Wardrobe Stylists to young adults to learn their craft while shadowing them.

Dope Music Alert: "SAIL" by AWOLNation

*** "SAIL" ***

My usual early morning office jam tends to consist of myself and the workstudy student playing totally two different genres of music but still rocking out. A few weeks ago I heard a song that she was playing on her Mumford and Sons< Pandora Station titled "Sail" created by the group AWOLNation. Not only is his voice enticing but the lyrics are so much more meaningful. He speaks of his A.D.D and he starts the first verse with the line "The is how an angel cries". I shall now be on the lookout for more AWOLNation new and old. LYRICS Sail!

This is how I show my love
I made it in my mind because
I blame it on my A.D.D baby

This how an angel cries
I blame it on my own sick pride
Blame it on my A.D.D baby

Sail! [x5]

Maybe I should cry for help
Or maybe I should kill myself (myself)
Blame it on my A.D.D baby

Maybe I'm a different breed
Maybe I'm not listening
So blame it on my A.D.D baby

Sail! [x5]

La lala lala, la lala lala oh [x2]

Sail! [x5]

Sail! [x5]
(Sail with me into the dark)[x3] (Sail with me)[x2]

The Weeknd - Valerie

I was introduced to "The Weeknd's" music about 2 years ago and ever since I have fallen in love with his approach to the music he delivers. With soft melodies and sensual lyrics he makes you anxious for an album and loving LOL. If you are a woman you are sure to want to be in his presence and if you are a man you may want to play this for your lady. Either way, I am sure he can smooth over any rough patch with this tune. In "Valerie" he speaks on the way his lover perceives him even though he knows she shouldn't because of his actions but it also seems like an insecurity as well. As in maybe he doesn't feel worthy of her because he is unable to give her what she needs. I am not sure but I am totally feeling this tune. Let me know what you think.

Here are some of the lyrics:

There comes a time in a man's life
Where he must take responsibility
For the choices he has made
There are certain things that he must do
Things that he must say

[Bridge]
Like I Love you
And I need you
I only want you
And nobody's goin' to know if it's true

I never thought I'd feel this kind of hesitation (tonight)
My hand on another girl
I wish I didn't have to lie
I wish I could let you know

[Bridge]
Cause I love you
And I need you
I only want you
And nobody's going to know if it's true

[Hook]
Valerie
(Oh Valerie)
I know you can see through me
(I know you can see through my lies)
Valerie
(Oh Valerie)
You just choose to never know
(No you just don’t know what I do, what I do, oh Valerie)
Valerie
(Valarie, yeah)
Why pretend to trust in me?
(I don't know why you try to trust in me baby, but I think I might know)
Valerie
(I know, Valerie)
You'd rather this than be alone
(Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh woah)

Tats Vs Tattoos

Tats Vs Tattoos

Tattoos are not just beautiful pieces of art on skin but they often tell a story as well. After meeting Strick Da Ruler I left not only with a dope tattoo but also with a clear understanding of the difference between Tats and Tattoos. I have many tats but this was for sure my first real tattoo as it took almost 3hours to complete. People tend to ask if they hurt and my answer is always, “Depends on your tolerance for pain”. On this day I realized that my tolerance is fairly neutral as I left feeling like a new person. I came for a tat and left with a new understanding of pain, artistry, and a new artist to admire.

Interview with Strick Da Ruler

Bad Milli: How did tattooing began for you?

Strick: I've been drawing since early childhood stealing my brother’s comics to draw from, and doodling in class textbooks. Like most consisted of graffiti in high school. My tattooing history began at 18 and I’ve been designing my own ever since. After forming an artistic and tattooing bond with my sensei “Oh Shit” of Black Ink, tattooing became the next medium to conquer after less recently developing a name in the mural and painting realms.
For now I continue to create however and wherever I can. I still love her (art) but now I'm making her work for my wealth.

Kazzie - Yeah Ok

http://www.youtube.com/v/m7NGbultjqc?autohide=1&version=3&autoplay=1&attribution_tag=jfkZul0L2sHcRoLDMeXN8A&showinfo=1&feature=share&autohide=1

So my friend kept texting me last night about an artist by the name of “KAZZIE” but I chose to ignore her as my bed was calling me. This morning I awoke to a new text about the same guy and song titled "Yeah Ok". Being that I know Sheen Been has a great ear for music I knew it would be fire, and that it sure was. His sound is different, delivery is nice, and his bars have substance as well as humor. Take a listen and let me know what you think.  #Respect #NewArtist #Kazzie #YeahOk #BadMilli
