" Living in Knowledge"
I've always been inspired by music, life's lessons, learning, observing, writing, and rapping so I woke up one day and decided to combine them all. I want to give people something to read that would provide hope, laughter, positive thoughts, and provoke change in how we view one another. Embark on this journey to mental/individual freedom with me as I learn to let go and LIVE.
Enjoy reading the Lik..... Where Everyone Lives In Knowledge.
Tink delivers bars, drill, and that music to make you bounce to. I was first introduced to Tink's music while listening to one of my favorite female artist from Chicago, Sasha Go Hard. I shall further elaborate on Sasha Go Hard's music later but right now TINK is the truth. She is the triple package completly as she sings, raps, and is an eye catcher. The Chicago youth are finding a medium that helps keep them focused on their dreams and that seems to be delivered via music now. Tink spits bars in this video while delivering clever punchlines, metaphors, similies, and more. Check her out and when she hits the charts please remember that Milli taught you first.
This here not only gives me life but its exciting to see the love that is captured in this video. Some may say that there is a possibility that it could be unreal but who I am to judge. Beyonce is not only captivating but she also delivers that mesmerizing stare that makes it hard for you to not envy her a little LOL. It seemed as if for once she is able to let her guard down and live alot as she embraces her new journey. Glowing from head to toe with the body of a GODDESS she is the total package and definitely blessed as she cannot be stopped. The flawless Mrs. Carter has nothing to prove to the "competition" as she has alread won. She is the Aretha, Gladys, and Tina Turner of our time. From Dangerously In Love to Drunk In Love. Another great victor!
The feeling of being alone can either break you or create a better you. Malcom X said, " Usually when people are sad, they don't do anything. They just cry over their condition. But when they get angry, they bring about change." The first step is a change within oneself. Why be sad and dwell in those sorrows? My sad moments are literally moments followed by anger and comforted by my love for defeating the odds. I'm destined to be great. #TheUnveiling
Brought to you from non other than another great Chicago Artist himself..... Mr.12 Play is back and his album dropped Tuesday 12/10/13 and the features are crazy. His new album Black Panties has a host of features so you know that Kels came to assassinate all those that thought they could compete with a R&B Legend. Even though I would love to see a R.Kelly and The Dream duet album one day because The Dream, in my opinion, is creatively an amazing genuis. Yes, that would be bananas for sure.
Check this tune out and be sure to go cop that album. I shall hit the Target for the ablum after work today. You should as well and let me know what you think about it.
I've come to realize that every obstacle and struggle are merely tests. They are based upon faith and endurance in my opinion. It's as of someone is trying their best to break you so that you give in and give up. Ultimately, it is up to you to persevere and not allow these obstacles to deter you from your destiny. Each setback is a setup for a greater comeback and I truly believe this. These obstacles, mishaps, adversities, and others are only to see how strong of a soldier one is. Having the ability to overcome these setbacks is the important key because that provides faith that once can emerge out of the darkest storm alive and thriving. I recently told a friend that if we were to not have any struggles we would not be able to fully appreciate life because each teaches a different lesson. Struggles build character so we must continue to thrive until we reach our designed destiny.
For all of those who have ever thought of giving up please do not allow negativity to keep you from your destiny. I once thought about giving up because I just could not see my way out of the storm. It wasn't until I told that storm to move that I began to emerge out of that which was holding me down.
Destiny Supersedes Faith.
Just a little excerpt from Joel Osteen's Today's Word:
"Just like there are many routes on a map, God has a plan to help you reach your destination. He has detours, shortcuts and bypasses. God has already calculated the the entire route for your life"
Be blessed awesome individuals.

Jahzel Music
Jahzel Delivers His Chapters Via Music:
Jahzel delivers what every great emcee of our time does.... uplifting music that we all can relate to. In his track “Chapters” he says, “Started in the soil, grew up out that bit@h, we was always thinking wealthy. We was never thinking rich.” I then knew that he would for sure differ from the masses as he is speaking to the people. His music provokes positive thoughts and allows the listener to identify with his story as he gives you nothing but the real. He also says that he is sensitive about his art while dealing with his insecurities and that line let me know that Jahzel Music is more than an emcee. He is an artist.
Dope Barz:
“Ain't satisfied with local man, I'm tryna change the scenery
My life is a movie, God is the director
And in a couple scenes my dream is laying on a stretcher
Starring in the mirror, hands on the dresser
College ain't prepared me for real life with them lectures
You need to go back, get your degree they say
Well, if it's that easy, would you pay my way?
It feels so criminal, I never understand it
They like 'give all your money or you'll never see your transcripts'
Life ain't smooth, but exactly how I planned it
Glad to be alive when a lot of niggas died
Proud to rap the truth when I could be rapping lies
Get you gems with this pen, let you niggas analyze on my practice”
Before having this interview with Jahzel I sat in my onesie with my pen, cell phone, and notebook thinking of how amazing this opportunity would be. After calming my nerves, brushing my hair, applying lip gloss, and staring at my computer I realized that he would not be able to see me through my cellular device so I was bugging LOL. Gathered my being, collected my thoughts....Then dialed the number to the next great artist and victor of our time.
Jahzel Music
Milli: Who is Jahzel Music
Jahzel: “I am a creator, an artist, a writer and I use music as a medium for my craft. Specifically hip hop. A free spirited individual who likes to smile and have fun.”
Milli: What is your next project? (Exclusive)
Jahzel: “My next project should be out early next year as it is still in the preliminary stages. I am looking to title the piece Vintage but that is subject to change as I am an artist.”
They say a set back is always a setup for a greater come back! When one door closes a better always opens and sometimes we just have to be forced into the next chapter of our lives. Remaining stagnant and complacent isn't my kind of thing so I don't get mad when the unplanned plan doesn't work properly. It was not designed to but what my GOD has for me is on its way and no human can take that from me. My peace is coming. #BadMilli #Whatthelikread
"I don't want ..... I don't want none of these muthafu%@$ dream killas tryna kill ya'll dreams. I don't want none of these nigg@$ tryna tell yall how to be.... how to be" - Kanye West
Kanye has adopted me as his little sister from Chicago, but he unfortunately has not consented yet. LOL. I ,on the other hand, am already convinced that he and I are siblings. On 11/19/13 I witnessed greatness at the Barclays Center via Kanye and Kendrick. The Yeezus Tour was everything I dreamt of and more as Kanye dropped knowledge while performing and Kendrick blessed the stage oh so well. I sipped my Dusse, danced around without a care, and left feeling brand new. Having the ability to see, first hand, the creative genius behind the jewel encrusted Maison Martin and Margiela masks inspired me greatly. He performed each hit effortlessly and kept the crowd far beyond entertained. It was as if it were only us two in the room surrounded by 808’s, red lighting, and auto tune at times. I engulfed myself in his show completely and admired the way he strutted confidently back and forth on the stage. I studied the way he moved with such poise and masculinity while delivering his passions. It was as if Ye had me in a “Yeezus Trance”. He stated that he did not want any of the dream killers trying to kill our dreams and for this I left APPRECIATING artistry even more than I had before I arrived. I admire Kanye’s knowledge of self.
*** The Journey *** I asked myself today how would I feel if I were no longer here? Honestly, I don't really know as I am on the fence with not giving a fuk if I were alive or not. My sanity is supported by my love for the LORD and the anticipation to see where I actually end up in this space called LIFE. The road to the light is so dark and the adversities so unbearable that the end must be equivalent to HEAVEN. The person that emerges from the storm is always the VICTOR. I shall win this battle and I'm eager to show my opposition how I conquer and rule. #Blessed #BadMilli #QueenShyt #TheUnveiling
After meeting Sigourney and hearing her story I was convinced that this was a meeting of the greats for sure. She spoke with such grace and conviction as she led me onto the paths that marked her journey. We spoke about her styling techniques, her passions, and what keeps her motivated. One thing she said to me that I will never forget and caused me to now admire her even more concerned having faith in yourself. Our dreams and visions differ from others but we know in our hearts the passions that should manifest so we have to persevere. Remaining grounded and humble as we climb to the top was also another key topic of our conversation. I wanted to give others the opportunity to get to know the vision behind her styling of Puma, Sassy, and O Shit of VH1‘s hit show Black Ink , but also the journey of Sigourney the Style God. Another victor of our time!
Sigourney Salley: Style GDX
Millie: Who is Sigourneyand what is her passion?
Sigourney Salley:
Sigourney Salley (also known as Style GXD) is a Visionary, Journalist, Brand Consultant And Head Wardrobe Stylist For VH1 Black Ink Crew (Sassy, Puma & O Sh*t).
My passion has been the same since I was 15 years old and that is to balance myself with business and creative direction, while also remembering to give back. Ultimately, I would like to create a nonprofit program with seminars that would introduce established MUA, Groomers, Hair Stylists, Designers and Wardrobe Stylists to young adults to learn their craft while shadowing them.
My usual early morning office jam tends to consist of myself and the workstudy student playing totally two different genres of music but still rocking out. A few weeks ago I heard a song that she was playing on her Mumford and Sons< Pandora Station titled "Sail" created by the group AWOLNation. Not only is his voice enticing but the lyrics are so much more meaningful. He speaks of his A.D.D and he starts the first verse with the line "The is how an angel cries". I shall now be on the lookout for more AWOLNation new and old. LYRICS Sail!
This is how I show my love
I made it in my mind because
I blame it on my A.D.D baby
This how an angel cries
I blame it on my own sick pride
Blame it on my A.D.D baby
Sail! [x5]
Maybe I should cry for help
Or maybe I should kill myself (myself)
Blame it on my A.D.D baby
Maybe I'm a different breed
Maybe I'm not listening
So blame it on my A.D.D baby
Sail! [x5]
La lala lala, la lala lala oh [x2]
Sail! [x5]
Sail! [x5]
(Sail with me into the dark)[x3] (Sail with me)[x2]
I was introduced to "The Weeknd's" music about 2 years ago and ever since I have fallen in love with his approach to the music he delivers. With soft melodies and sensual lyrics he makes you anxious for an album and loving LOL. If you are a woman you are sure to want to be in his presence and if you are a man you may want to play this for your lady. Either way, I am sure he can smooth over any rough patch with this tune. In "Valerie" he speaks on the way his lover perceives him even though he knows she shouldn't because of his actions but it also seems like an insecurity as well. As in maybe he doesn't feel worthy of her because he is unable to give her what she needs. I am not sure but I am totally feeling this tune. Let me know what you think.
Here are some of the lyrics:
There comes a time in a man's life
Where he must take responsibility
For the choices he has made
There are certain things that he must do
Things that he must say
[Bridge]
Like I Love you
And I need you
I only want you
And nobody's goin' to know if it's true
I never thought I'd feel this kind of hesitation (tonight)
My hand on another girl
I wish I didn't have to lie
I wish I could let you know
[Bridge]
Cause I love you
And I need you
I only want you
And nobody's going to know if it's true
[Hook]
Valerie
(Oh Valerie)
I know you can see through me
(I know you can see through my lies)
Valerie
(Oh Valerie)
You just choose to never know
(No you just don’t know what I do, what I do, oh Valerie)
Valerie
(Valarie, yeah)
Why pretend to trust in me?
(I don't know why you try to trust in me baby, but I think I might know)
Valerie
(I know, Valerie)
You'd rather this than be alone
(Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh woah)
Tattoos are not just beautiful pieces of art on skin but they often tell a story as well. After meeting Strick Da Ruler I left not only with a dope tattoo but also with a clear understanding of the difference between Tats and Tattoos. I have many tats but this was for sure my first real tattoo as it took almost 3hours to complete. People tend to ask if they hurt and my answer is always, “Depends on your tolerance for pain”. On this day I realized that my tolerance is fairly neutral as I left feeling like a new person. I came for a tat and left with a new understanding of pain, artistry, and a new artist to admire.
Interview with Strick Da Ruler
Bad Milli: How did tattooing began for you?
Strick: I've been drawing since early childhood stealing my brother’s comics to draw from, and doodling in class textbooks. Like most consisted of graffiti in high school. My tattooing history began at 18 and I’ve been designing my own ever since. After forming an artistic and tattooing bond with my sensei “Oh Shit” of Black Ink, tattooing became the next medium to conquer after less recently developing a name in the mural and painting realms.
For now I continue to create however and wherever I can. I still love her (art) but now I'm making her work for my wealth.
So my friend kept texting me last night about an artist by the name of “KAZZIE” but I chose to ignore her as my bed was calling me. This morning I awoke to a new text about the same guy and song titled "Yeah Ok". Being that I know Sheen Been has a great ear for music I knew it would be fire, and that it sure was. His sound is different, delivery is nice, and his bars have substance as well as humor. Take a listen and let me know what you think.#Respect #NewArtist #Kazzie #YeahOk #BadMilli
